M M M My Xeloda

Postby Guinevere » Sat Jan 07, 2012 5:25 pm

I've been working on alternative lyric to "My Sharona" with the theme "My Xeloda"

Here's what I have so far:
Ooh, my little pink one, pink one
When ya give me a break, Xeloda?
Ooh, you make my bowels run, my bowels run
It’s a bit more than I can take, Xeloda.
Never gonna stop or try to give it up.
Trying to kill the cancer now
So I can live it up.
My my my woo. M M M My Xeloda!

Ooh, my little chemo one, chemo one,
When ya give some time, Xeloda?
To get over the nausea, the nausea,
That would really be sublime, Xeloda.
Never gonna stop or try to give it up.
Trying to kill the cancer
So I can live it up.
My my my woo. M M M My Xeloda!

Why ya make my legs quake, my leg quake?
Isn’t it enough you make them ache, Xeloda?
Now my hair is getting thin and starting to break,
When ya give me break, Xeloda?
Never gonna stop or try to give it up.
Trying to kill the cancer
So I can live it up.
My my my woo. M M M My Xeloda!
M M M My Xeloda!
M M M My Xeloda!

Let me know what you think and even new verses to add!

Nice, but it brings back bad memories of the '80s.

Well, there is that. I don't know wh6y it popped into my head one day and I haven't been able to expunge it. Hopefully, now that I've written it down, that will be the end of it. (fingers crossed!)

Somebody asked me once if I've ever considered suicide. "Yes," I said. "Once I had Cher's song, 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' going through my head for a whole week."

Gwen,

Yes, don't like the song either, but love your lyrics (even though I really didn't have many issues with Xeloda - seems it & I understand each other apart from the hand/foot part of things)

Thanks!

I didn't realize the talent that is on this forum until last night. First, CRguy's Folfox songs and now this. I have to say that BrownBagger's comment about "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" got more than a chuckle out of me. It reminded me of the time I heard "Those were the days, (my friend,) twice during one grocery shopping trip and the song left the store with me and proceeded to stay with me for longer than was healthy.

Anyway, I told my husband BrownBagger's comment and he found Cher's "Halfbreed" in a computer file to play, asked me if I wanted him to find "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves", I politely declined. Don't need that one in my head going into first chemo treatment this week. That with steroids could be a dangerous combo.
