This is just terribly saddening.....Jess was a great source of inspiration to me on this board, an amazing mother to her baby and I am sure she will be her guardian angel guiding her through her life.
RIP Jess. God bless her family. God be with Lilliana.

I knew this was going to happen, and yet I am not prepared to face the death of such a valiant young woman. I didn't visit this site yesterday and yet I had this vague sadness. Rest in Peace little one.

She found her way into many of our hearts, where I like to say she will live on in many ways.

Now, however, is the time for us all to be sad. Shed a few tears, share some memories and grieve.

I only hope we can all honor her memory well. She definitely set a good example for us.

Damn.

There are no words that will convey the admiration I had for Jess and the grace with which she fought. My heart is so sad. God bless her family and may her spirit live through them.

Jess, may you rest in peace. You fought a good fight. You wanted nothing more than to have another day with Lilli. I'm sure that as Lilli gets older, she will realize what a fighter Jess was, and how much she loved her. My condolences to the family.

Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.

Gloria - I hope you can get this string to her family.

More than anything I believe that Jessica showed such an indomitable spirit - what a wonderful example to Lilliana to have as a way to live your life. May she be blessed with that legacy from her mother.

when jess posted, im in icu and don't know why, i felt she was so scared. i couldn't stop thinking of this young sweet woman with her little lilli she was so worried about always. i knew it didn't sound good but hoped maybe she would come out of it ok. i know she had to be so scared. i am so sorry for what happened to her. she was so young, i have sons older than her. i can't imagine. i remember her saying no one believed the pain she was having and then they found mets all over and her vertebre was about to fall apart. that poor woman. how strong she tried to be. how horrified she must have been. i hate this rotten, fn disease. i hate it so much. all the beautiful, wonderful people who have lost their battle to this monster. starbuck, bradyr, justsing, tim, jess, jim... my heart is aching so much right now. i miss them all so much. this just is not right. i will always remember them all. i hope jess' husband talks to lilli and shows her pictures and makes her know what a wonderful person her mother was.
i am so sorry jess. i wish you could have been one of the lucky ones.

This is the news I have been dreading. My heartfelt sympathy to her husband, precious daughter Lilli and family. Such a wonderful young lady. She was so courageous and inspirational throughout her battle, she never gave up. My heart aches for dear Lilli. Goodbye, dear Jess, RIP. Always loved, never forgotten xox

I am so heartbroken. This is not fair! I was hoping to never have to read this news.

She was a brave woman- and she was an inspiration to me in how she handled all of this.

I am praying for her family who she loved so dearly.

She will be missed by so many.

I am not going anywhere anytime soon, but I want to make sure IF/when that happens you all aren't left wondering. Like Tim said there are some that we are left to wonder about. I hope they just went into remission, got caught up in a normal life and forgot about this board but we all know what most likely happened. I wouldn't want you all to worry  . Either way, if that happens, you are instructed to go enjoy a real pina colada(not made from any mix) some good Green chili(from New Mexico or Colorado), and some fried ice cream. :D ,(sorry I am laying here, starving and dreaming of my favorite foods :P )

I remembered this thread, and I will be toasting her with a real pina colada. We loved her spirit and her fight. She endured so much and still kept on fighting. She was a realist as well. I am glad that Lillian will be able to read about her dear mother on the CC some day. What a treasure, What a huge void we all feel at the forum.

My prayers go out to her family.

RIP sweet Jessica
