Passed the 3 YEAR mark - NED; still neuropathy

Now 3 years since my first treatments. I saw the Onc this week. Anymore it is just a friendly visit, since I have been healthy for so long. All blood work is in normal range, so no scans necessary.
Tonight I received the CEA results in the mail: 1.4 by the Seimens method.

The Onc tells me not to give up on believing that I could get healing of the nerves damaged by the Oxaliplatin. Feet still have some numbness, and fingertips are not what they used to be. I can live with them as they are, but he referred me to a rehab center where some of his patience have bennefitted. I will see what they say.

YAHOOOOOOOOO!! Congrats!! Same here with the neuropathy! I will hit the 3 yr post chemo mark in August and 4 yr dx in November. Neuropathy still there in hands and feet, but I get by, and it is not untolerable, just a nuisance! You tend to create a work around where needed. Feel still the happiest in socks and shoes. Love to be barefoot, but do better with socks and shoes. Zero feeling in fingertips, but again, no pain, just inconvenience!!

Still have neuropathy in feet............... no "sexy hgh heel shoes"......have to wear "old lady shoes"
I'm 65 so I guess I wouldn't be wearing "sexy shoes"

Neuropathy is just something I deal with, annoying as heck but thankfully in my case
it doesn't give me "pain" just a numbness and tingle feeling in feet.

sorry about the neuropothy its not the worst side effect but it does stink
have you tried a neurologist? and the antidepresents? lyrica, cymablts, nurtroptlyne ect
or the vitamins B6, B12, niacin, folic acid?
if none of that works see a pain manangement doc...with the cream and the methadone i feel great...i suffered for so long and now the pain is about a two on a bad day and mostly 1
