Colon Cancer Survivor

Postby littlebit » Fri Feb 24, 2006 8:54 pm

Hey!

Guess what my CT scans and CEA test are clear! I'm twenty-five years old and a stage three colon cancer survivor. I have undergone intensive chemo with the C-08 research project and have had colon resection surgery.

I understand March is all about colon and I was wondering what I could do to help spread the word. I'm from South Carolina and there's not too much talk about colon cancer here.

I had to beg for a colonspy. I had to pay out of network because noone thought it was possible for me to have it. My biospy from the colonspy was negative. However, the biospy after the surgery was postive.

People can't believe that someone my age has this disease. Colon cancer is showing up more in the Pee Dee Area. What can I do to make a statement and educate people in this area?
