The Colon Club

I'm scheduled for my colonscopy tomorrow at 7:30am and it's 9:15 and it's ust starting to work. I did the 4 ducolax pills and the bottle of miralax in gatoraide. Now I'm getting nervous that I won't be cleaned out in time. Any suggestions. I had a clean out day 2 days ago after some vegatable didn't agreee with me.

Call the on-call doc at the GI practice. They probably are very used to this question and have standard answewrs. They will ask have you taken everything on schedule, and the color/consistency of what you are "evacuating." They may tell you to come in early if you are unsure of how well the prep work. Anyways, I suggest calling them since they are the ones to make the final decision.
I had to talk to mine during my last prep because I couldn't keep the stuff down, and they helped me adjust the dosing schedule so that everything worked out fine.

You might not have that much backed up in your colon to expel since you had a cleanout two days ago. You could try a warm water enema in the morning if your output hasn't become clear enough. Good Luck.

I had the same issue with the same prep. This morning it was yellow/clear, but there was some residue in it. He said I was plenty cleaned out.

Many years back, I was prepping for one my colonoscopy and I was puking up pretty bad, could not get that 2nd dose of prep to stay down. Put a call to my surgeon (who also does my colonoscopy), she told me, when it's liquid yellow, assume you are clear.
