Congratulations. I just had a colonoscopy today, too, two years since my stage 2 rectal cancer diagnosis. My doctor said he saw no sign of a recurrence, though there are still some lab tests to run.

Wow! thats awesome! I was wondering if by endoscopy, you had an upper endoscopy to check the esophagus and stomach,. It seems like a good idea while you are there and prepped and sedated. My GI never suggested it but since we got hit in the colon it may be wise to be extra careful in the preventive. Larry

Yes Larry, it was an upper endoscopy to check the esophogaus and the stomach. I've had heartburn constantly since chemo #6 unless I'm on nexium and the oncologist wanted to check things out. It was clear too.
Now that I'm not so loopy -- the even better news is that the doctor said I don't have to have another colonoscopy for 2 more years since the last 2 have been perfect! (Not having to gag down the prep is the best part!).
