Hi,
I'll start the scan thread since it is all I can think of. Dick has a PET/CAT scan on Thursday, his every 3 month scan. He also has a brain MRI because he is a pilot and the FAA is requiring a brain scan before he gets his medical certificate back. He hasn't been able to fly (work) for 2 years now so we are hoping and praying that everything comes out clear and he can get back to work. Really all I care about is that he is OK. Crap I hate this fricken stress. Please pray for peace for us this week, that we can hold it together. January 12, 2009 (2 years ago) was when he was diagnosed and his scan is on the 13th. Hoping that he is clear.

Praying for a clear scan for Dick. My concern is also a little selfish. If he has found a way to be clear of cancer after peri aortic lymph node involvement, that gives me hope to conquer it also.
I hope all scans are clear and he can go back to flying! What a wonderful reward that would be after the last few years.

We found out yesterday that B's scan was CLEAR, finding only a cyst on his liver! We're good for another six months...

I'm waiting too, Kathleen. My husband had his 6 month scan yesterday. Maybe we can both hold our breath together until we hear the results.

Kathleen, my friend. All the best vibes and thoughts headed yours and Dick's way. Try to distract yourself as best you can and visualize everything turning out okay. Of course, you could just sit there and worry too. 
I would always tell myself that no amount of worrying (or not) would change things, because it is what it is and whatever it is, you will adjust what you need to and proceed to the next day. Wasting those days up to the scan and afterwards waiting for results are, well...days wasted. However...believe me...I absolutely know this is easier said than done.
