We recognize that dealing with cancer can be a difficult experience and that you may not want to participate in market research. If that is the case, please delete this e-mail.

We are writing to let you know that a research group will be conducting in-person and telephone interviews with men and women who have been diagnosed with cancer. The research group is offering $125 (in-person) or $75 (phone) to qualified patients who are willing to participate in a 45-minute interview between July 23rd and August 3rd. In-person interviews are available in Philadelphia and Chicago only.

In order to qualify for this interview, you must meet the following criteria:

* Have been diagnosed with cancer
* Have received chemotherapy (such as 5-FU or other intravenous drugs) in an ambulatory pump, meaning a pump that you wear on your body at home for several days while the drug is gradually released through an I.V. line into your system

Any idea what they are trying to accomplish with the surveys?

Sean -- I just called the number == The study has to do with the pumps and the meds...when you call they will take your number and then call you when the study begins.. If you do a phone interview -- they will mail a check to you... Thanks cynical for the info...Cathy
