hi all
i have been diagnosed with stage 111 colorectal cancer - i have had surgery to remove the tumour and lymph nodes and now have an illeostomy.
i start treatment in a month which is going to be daily radiation (5 days a week for 5 weeks) and chemotherapy (5-fu) via a pump at the same time. The chemo will continue after the radiation stops.
I was wondering if others have had these treatments simultaneously, and are the combined side effects worse than having just chemo alone?
