Dear Everybody,

I would like to hear from as many of you as possible about the side effects you experienced from the FOLFOX?

Fatigue
Nueropathy
Loss of Sexual Drive
Infertility
Hot/Cold Sensitivity
Hair Loss
Depression

Thanks so much!

Please remember that everyone is different.

Fatigue-Hardly
Nueropathy - Got numb on fingers and toes, but it went away after I stopped.
Loss of Sexual Drive- Actually increased the day of chemo due to the steroids they gave. Other that, all systems are go! Love Machine that I am.
Infertility -Grown Kids, N/A
Hot/Cold Sensitivity -First few days its hard to touch really cold things, like an angry wife, cold drinks etc., then it goes away.
Hair Loss -Thinning, but I never lost it until I got Irinotecan.
Depression -WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK???? I HAVE CANCER!!! OF COURSE I'M FRIGGIN DEPRESSED!!!! THIS ROPE AROUND MY NECK ISN'T ON FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES!!!!
Just kidding....it didn't make me any worse than I already was.

finger numbness - most serious 2 or 3 days after chemo but doesn't really go away
running nose - all of week of chemo
hand sensistivity to cold alll of week of chemo
nose bleeds - all of week of chemo
throat sensistivity to cold 3 or 4 days
feet sensistiveity to cold one or two days
darking of skin (just a cosmetic issue - manily on fingers) - all the time
serious heartburn - usually one day the 3rd after chemo started
constipation or diarrhea - usually the 4th day after chemo started

My worst so far is the mouth sores. I get two every treatment and they are deep and painful. "Magic MOuthwash" helps numb it, but doesn't lst long at all.

Yes, had all you mentioned. Still have neuropathy in feet and sometimes pain at night and treatment was finished 2 and 1/2 years ago. Hang in there!!

Have you tried rinsing often with baking soda? I use 1 tsp per quart of water and rinse several times a day and have had no real problems so far. Twice I've had the start of a sore but I have just ramped up the rinses and they've gone away in a day.
