I found out this morning that my best friend and boss has six months to live, she has stage 4 gastric cancer. I HATE this BEAST! Sorry just blowing off steam.

I totally agree with you. As I was coming out of Mass this am I met a lovely young man named Bernard who is a Doctor. I have known him for a long time. This morning he looked glum.....he told me his mother, who is (was) a healthy 70 year old lady, into diet and exercise, very weight conscious, healthy diet etc has just been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer...this evil disgusting beast of a disease....and my darling daughter Deborah has advanced colon cancer at age 42, how bad is that I ask you...some days I get so damn depressed about all of this...sorry about the rant but it does get to you now and again....i'm sorry to hear about your best friend...that's so crappy for you.

Jesus, that is dreadful news. I say it all the time, but I just can't believe there aren't more effective treatments in this modern age...
