I'm with you disco nap...hospital gown and underwear only. It's a Canadian and New York thing. I had the breast shield for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Wish they would have done it years ago.
-Colon cancer, Stage I @ 43
-Total abdominal colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis (July 2010)
-Endometrial cancer, Stage IIIc @ 41
-Hysterectomy w BSO, Sept 2008
-28 sess pelvic rad + chemo of Taxol/Carboplatin (Oct. 2008 - Feb 2009)
-Lynch Syndrome

Street clothes but no underwire bra (for newbies). That's one thing I like about scans. Notice I said one thing;)

I dress for the occasion, so I don't have to change. I didn't think of the sports bra - good idea. I usually go with a tank top with a shelf bra underneath something with long sleeves and yoga pants so nothing metal. Oh, and I bring fuzzy warm socks because it's always so cold in the room. As for modesty, you guys are right. For me it went out the window when I would have to drop my pants for the male techs for radiation. Any remaining inkling of it left when the male nurses had to clean me up after the accidents in the hospital. I figured they didn't care, so why should I? :lol:
