Butt Numbness

Postby klryder02 » Tue Apr 17, 2007 6:08 pm

Yes..laugh...I am asking about butt numbness.

Is is possible for your butt to get numb from Oxyplatinium like your hands and feet?

I am trying to decide if this is real..or if its in my head!
29, stage IV, diagnosed Oct. 2006, currently on Oxaliplatin, 5-FU, and Vectibix.

I would have to say yes, sadly I think there is only one way to find out, find a really cold toilet and have a seat. I know when it was really cold here and I was on the oxi my eyes would actually go numb.

ok - I will admit it - it has happened to me :) MY 6 year has ice skating lessons 2 times a week - I don't take her the Wed. right after my MOnday chemo, but I usually take her on the Friday after chemo. I usually stand outside in the 'warm' area until her lesson then I will go in and sit (with a scarf around my face and gloves) and by the end of her 20 minute lesson my butt is starting to tingle!

 I'm laughing WITH you, not AT you . I, too suffered from a numb rear end while I was on that nasty stuff. Have no fear... it does go away after treatment!!
