Oh Grammy how I WISH I could take the pain of that betrayal away so you could just focus on yourself and your loving family. I'm so sorry to hear of the additional crap your ex is putting you through. You're in my prayers for solace.

Papa, words fail me. I'm heart-broken at this news, even though I don't really know you. You will definitely be in my prayers for comfort, good care, and quality time with your family and loved ones.

John or Linda, if you see this, just know I'm still praying for and thinking of you both.

Much love to all,
Starbuck

Kimby is very weak and bedridden. She can't get up without help. She had 8 litres of fluid removed from her abdomen about a month ago and lost 20 lbs when they removed it. Now she's losing weight without trying and all chemo has stopped. She's been given the dx of 'malnutrition' tho she is eating....

Hello dear Diane,

Thank you so much for posting about Kimby. I have been thinking about her all the time. I don't really know her at all, but haven't gotten her out of mind since she posted about having gained 50 lbs in a really short time from the fluid in her abdomen. If you speak with her, please let her know that my thoughts and prayers are with her for comfort and a peaceful time with her family.

Thank you, Bev

Now first thing he has not left you he has left himself...worry not about how they act you have no time for that...yes the memories and times were well spent at some point but that chapter in your life has been closed and here is another..the only difference is you get to write this one yourself and dictate it's path so to speak.

I have an issue with you talking about a wish before you die unless you spoke to jesus recently where is that word coming from..my dear keep your head high love yourself..kids and grand babies and remeber we are all here for you in any way we can sorry to sound so blunt but i never accept people talking down about themselves..

I back and double CR words and here it is..let no man control how you feel about you..only you can do that..

Remember you have cancer...cancer does not have you

Grammy,
You have been through so much. Thank goodness for children and grandchildren. Yes, you have a mansion in the sky but you're not going there yet. You have lots of loving to receive and give here.

Saying a prayer for you now.

I'm really sad to hear about Kimby. I met her sitting in the waiting room to get my second opinion at the U of Mich. I was scared to death and trying to decide whether or not to do chemotherapy. My wife turned to me and said you have to talk to this woman sitting across from me. I started talking to her and she made me feel like this cancer thing was a breeze. We all know that's not true but it helped me get started. I emailed her after and she gave me great words of encouragement. I don't know if I would be where I am today completing chemotherapy without talking to someone like her.

Weird thing is it was just a few days more than one year ago that I met her. It is amazing how time flies and things change. She is an amazing person and I pray that she finds peace in this difficult time.

thanks Kelly,

I sometimes see a persons name on the "who's browsing" footer, but if they don't follow up with a post...well at least I know they have seen our messages and know we are wishing the best for them. I guess that is all we can do until they wish to post or PM someone. Back to the privacy thing I guess. I certainly understand the need to compartmentalize, and sometimes that means staying away for a while.

Yes, I do more lurking than posting, but like you, I log on to check on everyone. I logged on about ten times yesterday to see if Brownbagger got the results of his PET scan and I swear I have scanxiety by proxy. Bottom line is, we all have cancer, we are all scared, we are all hoping and pissed at the same time. This club has been a God send to me and YOU are a cornerstone my friend. And just to let you know....it's right back at cha! 'Team CrGuy' is assembled and ready should ever the need arise....or NOT:)

I just wanted to put a thread of what that person wrote....it continued the old thread!
I now know I should have copied/pasted vs selecting "quote"

I hope the thread doesn't make sad thoughts come

Hi Regan,

For me, and probably the other "old timers" here, it was bittersweet (and confusing) to said the title of that thread. Everyone of the CC family that CR was asking about have long since passed now. Just seeing their names brought back both happy and sad memories for me. I'm pretty sure Kimby was the "founder" of the swinging chickens around here.

Best to you,

Bev

I've had so many scans over the years (including one just yesterday) that I have no idea what the results of that one were.

I concur with Bev that the appearance of this thread is a bittersweet occasion. But, I think it's good to remember our late friends, painful though the memory may be.
