FOLFOX4 & Liver Functions - Chemo Delayed a week

Postby sean » Mon Apr 09, 2007 11:14 am

Pre-surgery all my liver functions were completely normal. Had my first post chemo CMP 2 days into my second cycle and again Friday, which was at the end of my 3rd cycle.

2nd cycle ALP 120% of max normal, now 103%
2nd cycle ALT 250% of max normal, now 325%
2nd cycle AST 115% of max normal, now 220%

When I came in for chemo this morning they ran the CMP past the doctor & he canceled my chemo & ordered a hepatitis panel.

I see my oncologist Wednesday. Anyone had liver issues with FOLFOX4 or any idea what the different liver functions mean?

On the bright side my CEA has remained a constant 0.7. With no pre-surgury CEA I don't know if the marker works for me, but I'll take it as good news anyway.
