New NCCN guidelines for Adjuvant therapy

Among other things:

"All stage III patients should have adjuvant therapy as proven in the MOSAIC [Multicenter International Study of Oxaliplatin/5-FU/LV in the Adjuvant Treatment of Colon Cancer] trial with FOLFOX [the oxaliplatin/5-fluorouracil/leucovorin chemotherapy regimen], but what we don't want to encourage is adding these agents," he said in an interview.

"There's no benefit in trying to enhance FOLFOX with these agents. The one that most docs want to add is bevacizumab because they think that blocking the blood vessels will be beneficial, but the NSABP [National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project] study has shown no advantage to this."
