WOW... that is an alarming story. I knew my chances of getting the disease that took my mom at 58 years old were high... but 85%???
How glad am I that I started with colonoscopies at 30? and found a gastro who would do it for me?
Invitation is still out there... please call me on my show for Colon Cancer on 3/15/07 1-888-2 JR SHOW

ya, i heard this same guy on NPR a couple months ago. And i got all excited that there might be hope i could have a child that wouldn't get this genetic disorder.
i know a friend of mine here (who's got FAP like me) somehow contacted this guy and his wife, they apparently live here in Evanston (suburb of chicago) and she's been playing phone tag with his wife to find out more. B/C i'm 98% sure he's got FAP too, although they didn't outwardly say)
anywho, i hear this guy and his wife got all sorts of crazy nutty religious folk sending em hate mail etc.
