In Need of Tshirt Slogan

Postby SkiFletch » Sat Mar 13, 2010 6:36 pm

Hey all, I've got an out of the box request for everyone here. My same wonderful friends and family that threw me that surprise birthday party are going to help do something even cooler in my honor. Many of them are runners and are therefore running the Buffalo Half Marathon and fundraising for colon cancer research with the help of the American Cancer Society. They've already raised more than $1000 for the cause and there's a whole team of runners taking this on in my honor. (quick tear)

They also want to get their own "Team Fletch" Tshirts made and we're looking for ideas for a slogan for the back of the shirt. We're looking for something to either raise awareness, or to make fun of the cancer directly :). So anybody whose clever that can come up with something good, we'd appreciate your help :)

Make sure you print them on technical shirts, not cotton.

I don't have any good ideas, but I laughed quite a bit when watching the Harry Smith colonoscopy because they kept busting out funny one liners. Maybe there is something in that video you could turn into a slogan?

Unrelated, my stupid spell-check doesn't know how to spell colonoscopy. It thinks I'm trying to spell colonialist. Lame.

Hi, We have a Relay for Life team. Last year the front of our shirt said, "Get your colonoscopy today(with a sad face the on the back it said, Put it behind you" with a happy face!
Another one we wanted to use, but had a few who wouldn't wear it said, "Up Yours, it's a GOOD thing! Get your colonoscopy today!" This year we are using (Our Relay is May 1, May Day) May Day, May Day, having a colonoscopy might be your Life Savor" (we will pass out lifesavor candies! Have fun and it sounds like you have quite a support group!!! Jean

Someone here found one on cafepress that said "What's up Your Butt?" That made me chuckle.

Or maybe you could just have a big semi-colon on the shirt?

go to cafepress.com... type cancer in the search area.

There are a bunch of t-shirts with funny sayings.

Since this is a running event...on back of shirt , something like "While you check out my butt, make sure someone checks yours. Colonscopy saves lives "
Stage IV, April 2009.
Treatments...multiple .
Currently none
"It is well, with my soul"

A colonathon, eh?

I don't have anything offhand. If you hooked up with the breast cancer folks, you could claim that you've got the old T&A thing covered.

I like the semicolon idea. Maybe a colon ":" on the front and a semicolon on the back, with something like "scope this to avoid this." That might be more appropriate at the English Majors for Colon Cancer parade.

You know in the last many years they keep finding rings and more rings around the planet Uranus.

Picture this: A colorful drawing of the planet Uranus with its rings, of course. Then written below something like, "Running rings around Uranus for colorectal cancer awareness"?
