Gilda Club

Postby klryder02 » Tue Mar 06, 2007 7:34 pm

Hello-

I visited a place yesterday I wanted to tell you guys about. You may know of it, but I have never seen anything posted on the colon club.

I'm sure everyone knows who Gilda Radner is...from SNL back in the 70's. There is a "chain" of places called Gilda Club, that offer FREE group meetings, lectures, art classes..all kinds of cancer related stuff.

I was searching for some type of 20-30's support group, and found the one in Dallas.

Here is a link to see if there is one by you.

You can also read about the org's history/background.

Like I said, it is totally free, they NEVER ask their "members" for donations...they hit corporations up for money instead!!

My husband and went to the new member info meeting last night...and I was blown out of the water. It is really a cool place. I can't wait to join and become of the 20-30 age group group.

Looks like there are alot of them over on the east coast.

It's kinda like the Colon Club...but just in person!
