CRguy PET results and ......

Postby CRguy » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:10 pm

I suppose I should post the whole enchilada. Was just gonna give the exec summary, but with my track record here, knew I would catch flack anyway.

350 club needs a new leader. CRguy has been "upgraded." AND I forbid any other 350's to follow my example
Expected (by me), the single lung nodule is lighting up on PET...-> met...-> surgery...-> Stage IV.

(Being a Yin Yang kinda guy though, the other side of the coin is : the "other chest thingie" is quiet...benign.)
NO Christmas lights anywhere else in the CRguy, from head to knees, including liver and primary site (that's a biggie for rectal primaries...no local recurrence. All considered...good news.)

Other good news : PET scan March 4, GP Doc appt. March 9, Medical Onco consult march 9, Surgical Onco appt. March 11.

Sorry folks, I know the Canadian healthcare system has been ragged on a bit ( the infamous BBagger nonpolitical "Palin" post ! LOL )
BUT....from PET scan to Surgical onc in 1 week is OK with me, and I am walking into the appt. with the discs of CT and PET/CT...or he could just pull them off the medinet himself. Surgeon is THE "go to" chest guy...only chests...only cancer...tied into the BC Cancer Agency. One thing my GP does, is access the best local specialists. He is always my first "go to" guy, because from there I know I am " in da groove."

So : happy...No
Sad...No
Pissed...Yes. That's when I seem to do my best work.

So off to bed to rest up. Got a big job ahead of me. Gonna kick some huge colorectal ass.

Aww sh*t.... that is incredible sucknitude. You seem to be handling it extremely well. But what else is there to do but get mad and get out there and fight this beast. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like the BC Cancer Agency is pretty darn good.

Keep us posted! And nooo...I ain't interested in the leader's job.... :?

CRguy,

I'm so sorry for the bad news. I can barely type because I lose most of my mediocre vocabulary when I hear bad news like this and I can only curse like a sailor. The asterisks (as in sh*t, etc.) don't cut it.

I'm hoping for excellent news from the surgeon! You can do this.

Take care,

Damn, damn, damn.........

I'm glad you've got the appointments quickly and that you've got a plan but I hate that you even have to have a plan. We've got your back and I am sending as much positive energy as I can muster at the moment up I-5 to you. It's not feeling like an I-5 but a "low" 5 right now though.

Ditto what Justsing said. Awful news, but you go get that spot out of you and take back the leadership of the 3.50 club.

Oh, CRguy,

That is NOT the news I expected, but as Justsing says - it's nothing, one little lung "thingy". You can beat this!
