scalloped intestinal lining?

Postby hmlee » Wed Feb 28, 2007 12:37 pm

Hi everybody... So I continued my strange GI journey yesterday by having an upper endoscopy. It was fun. I had lots of happy drugs and then was given oreos and apple juice after the test.

Anyway, I'm posting today because one of the results of the test was odd. I was kind of out of it afterwards so I don't remember all that my doctor said, but I guess part of the lining of my small intestine is "scalloped" (his words). I guess normally the lining of the small intestine is supposed to be smooth... but mine wasn't. They biopsied the tissue to try to see what's going on... but has anyone heard of something like this before? Or what it could be related to?
