C3 Call-on Congress

Postby Christine » Sat Feb 24, 2007 11:45 pm

Just curious: Are any others participating in the C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition Call-on Congress in March?

Magnolia,

We're supposed to check in at the Courtyard Arlington Crystal City on Sunday, March 18th between 3-4:30.

Did you get the email today regarding the conference calls on March 12th and 13th? They're supposed to answer questions and go over what to expect.

We should also be getting a packet of information in the mail to read over.

You can read a little bit about it at the C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition website (www.fightcolorectalcancer.org). I believe that registration for the Call-on Congress in DC is closed, but they are still looking for people to make phone calls to Congresspeople. All the info is on their site.

Noonie, there's the pnone in thing. And there's always next year. You can try the Lance Armstrong Foundation. They're doing a thing in DC in May. They may still have spot open. I applied for that too. Lance Armstrong advocates for all cancers. I like that. Check out his website. He's a busy guy. He's got lots of activist stuff going on, as does C3.

Was anyone on the conference call today? I was supposed to be, but I missed it. I had an appointment and planned to call from my cell on the way home but didn't have the phone # with me. I didn't have my pre-paid parking stickers with me either. I was not in good shape today at all. I hope I can do it tomorrow evening. I tried to e-mail the organizer, but haven't heard back yet. What went on during the call?

Hey Magnolia,

I was on the conference call. It was just an overview of what to expect and they answered questions. It was just under an hour and I know that they recorded it for people who wouldn't be able to call in. If you can't get into the call tomorrow, you can probably listen to the recorded version.

Hi everyone. Now that I've met you all, I just wanted to say how great it was to spend a few days with you and work on such an amazing event. I'm looking forward to more.
