Xeloda Withdrawel

Postby rthornton » Wed Feb 21, 2007 5:30 pm

I am currently using 2000 mg of Xeloda as a maintenance regimen. The side effects are not so bad at this low dosage, although my feet are getting pretty blistered (I take B6 pills daily, and use udderly smooth cream on my feet). I am curious how long it might take my feet to return to normal if I take a Xeloda break. I suppose the drug is cumulative, so maybe it takes a few weeks. Anybody have any experience with this?

My experience

I took 3000 mg of Xeloda. My feet got worse over time and off weeks weren't always better. My feet were about 80% back to normal after about 6 months post-chemo.

Alright Rod, i finished my tablets on 27th Dec 06 and during the period when taking them my feet were very sore and cracked. Less than two weeks on i have been a bit lazy and stopped putting the cream on, but other than being a bit dry, they are fine.

Cheers
Nick
