A few days ago I was in the hospital and couldn’t pee, they had already Foley cathd be twice and straight cathd my 3 times. I hurt bad and asked for help on a different thread. Somebody saw it and said a prayer for me, 20 minutes later I was going on my own and now I’m home, away from the hospital. Thank you.

Oh my goodness.....I don’t come here too often anymore but still like to check in from time to time. Saw this post that was started by Terry.....miss her and Bev and John and Jess.....these people have sadly passed away  Reading this post brought back so many memories of my dear friends and warriors. They meant so much to me especially in those dark, dark days. RIP ❤️ Remembered with love ❤️

Folks

I have an impossible decision to make today and I need prayer to help! I’ve been off chemo due to surgery, missed 2 infusions so far but I don’t want to go back. I’m meeting with the Onc. Today to discuss my future treatments or lack there of. I need quality time, not laid up on the couch in between infusions, that doesn’t work for me. I’m tired, 5 major surgeries and 90 rounds of chemo over 5 years has left me exhausted, I really don’t think I’ll mentally or physically survive another chemo infusion. Thanks for your help, there’s a dark cloud over my house as my wife and I have been discussing this for a few days, I wish the decision was made for me but alas, I’m going to have to be the adult. For those of you who are new, if I quit chemo I have 6 months to 1 year left according to the oncologist, 2 years max if I keep up the chemo. I’m going down anyway, why suffer through the chemo treatments?

Please no alternative medicine responses.

Hi Pyro,

I’m only on my first round of FOLFIRI, and already I’m wondering how long I can take it. I have always been of the stance, “don’t talk to me about QOL, let’s just try anything that might work.” But this stuff just saps my will like nothing else I’ve experienced. And you’ve been on it for a couple years, it looks like? Strong man.

Perhaps you could just plan take a break for a while, and come back to FOLFIRI if and when you feel up to it? Who knows, you might see things differently after a while. Or not — and that is ok too.

Praying for you Pyro. Your posts here all suggest that you know in your heart what you want to do. Recognize fully how difficult it is to actually ACT on that of course!

My prayer for you is that you are able to hear your heart clearly and have the confidence to make a decision that feels right for you and your family.

Funny, I came here to ask for a prayer but frankly I feel better giving one.

I pray just about every day on my way to work for my husband and recently found a site on Pinterest... The 5 signs God is redirecting your life and a lot of that article resonated.

Please pray for my husband While I pray for all of you!

Pyro,

Praying for you that you will have peace in your decision and the dark cloud will be removed from your home.

Mohrfamily, I remember when you first joined and have been praying for your family since then. Prayers for strength and wisdom.

Thank you for keeping my young family in your prayers. DH gets a (unwanted) break this cycle. This week he decided no vectibix but treatment was stopped altogether till he gets an MRI next week per his oncologist she really doesnt like irinotecan and wants another scan to be sure its three way to go. He yelled at the nurse who called asking if he is the only one trying to beat this, she explained and reasoned that the hold up was the insurance digging their heels....

Pray, pray.....PRAY

Hi Pyro
I have read many of your posts- I don’t post a lot but I need to tell you what an inspiration you are. I had 11 rounds of oxali and fulfox and I thought I was strong/tough until about round 5- every round after that was just another layer of exhaustion and sickness - I made it through and I’m healing from it now.while going through it I read on the forum from members like yourselves many times, obsessed about it sometimes. I want to thank you for your input, it is truly appreciated. I don’t know what I’ll do next time around, I can’t even presume to know what your going through now but I respect all you have gone through. You are in my prayers
