And another: Alisa Whitford who posted now and then. I had the privilege of meeting her when she was visiting OR (from New Zealand) just months before she passed on early in 2009. She left a husband and tiny son behind. May her memory be a blessing to her family and all who knew her.

That exact subject has come up in the past, actually started by klryder (Kelly) in Sept. of '08. Nothing ever ended up happening though.

And another - just a little while ago today, Kimberly Hansen (LiveSassy).

If anyone is interested in helping other military family members dealing with cancer of all kinds, check out Kimberly's project Comfy for Chemo. It is an effort to get cuddly blankets in all of the military hospital chemo rooms. When she went through treatment she had one but most of the other patients did not. See her blog link from her webpage livesassy.org.

Rest in peace dear friend and may we all "live sassy" in your memory.

To see all the friends we have lost this past year in one thread leaves me a bit speechless. I remember so many of these people - corresponding with me, offering me help, support, advice. To know they are gone is heart breaking. These were good people with good families who loved them. This really breaks my heart. I hope the day comes - soon - when boards like this become obsolete; because our cancer has become - obsolete.

Way too Many!!! Yes Kelly (klryder) as well, and Jessica Provincher (jessleigh?) I think, and yes Summit 22 Tom's wife. I had always hoped we could start a fallen angels area on the forum. But through discussion, I do not think that ever happened. I am sure you mentioned Shawn Felty (colondor model) who just passsed in the last few weeks.

This was my first FULL year on the forum. I got to know so many of these folks through conversation and support on this board. I so appreciate the opportunity to correspondence with these special fighters, and am sad to know they have left us. I have left them as friends on my Facebook page, and when their pics float by, I have a constant reminder of those whose battle have come to an end. Its sad but a very real reminder of what we are all doing here!!

ONWARD!! Wishing all CC peeps, good health for 2010!

Ivona, Remember our brief acquaintance with Kevin Goldt, Ottawa, passed away 23 April 2008, in his 42nd year, after a tough year long battle? We could hardly believe that he didn't make it.

I left two of my friend Pammy Sue and Mary (from another board) on facebook also. I was taken aback a little when I had a post from PammySue on there one day. It was her husband Mike posting.

Fletcher Stone - 11/4/38 - 9/9/09 - not on the board here, but a wonderful friend, brilliant man, and a warrior who had dealt with lung cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer. His smile and his heart were as big as the sky.

Thanks to the people in this post that mentioned my wife Lisa who passed away on January 31st at the young age of 44. I still check this board regularly and continue to be inspired by all of you that battle with this disease each and every day. I would also like to mention Paul Miller who passed away this past year. His wife Wendy is doing a wonderful job raising their 2 boys.

God bless.
