Stage IV CoCa Survivor is "Rollin' to Colon"

Postby Holly » Mon Nov 28, 2005 10:04 pm

Dear Colon Club,

I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for providing me hope, inspiration and support throughout this year. I am looking forward to sharing many more! As I prepare for this journey, know each of you will be with me. With all my love....

To the DSCCCTF:

I would like to take this opportunity to invite each of you to celebrate Colon Cancer Awareness Month 2006 with me in a special way.

For months, I have reflected on the meetings that I shared with each of you. Dr. Paulman, I remember you and I talking about an event to Colon, NE. I am here to let each of you know that I am planning a bike ride to Colon, NE better known as "Rollin' to Colon." It will take place on 17 March 2006. Begin at 84th and Dodge and end in Colon. The time of departure is 10:00 a.m. (the best time to get a police escort out of the city, safety first). I will forward the Press Release to each of you about 6 weeks prior to the event. I hope this event helps raise awareness about Colon Cancer to the members of our shared community. Together we can save lives!

I am eager to return to Omaha this holiday season to see the bike that is being built for me! Oh, not to mention a colonoscopy (which will mark my tenth). This holiday season, I wish each of you a long, blessed life and holiday cheer throughout the year!

Tour de Colon

Postby Edward » Tue Nov 29, 2005 12:07 am

Holly,

Do you think there are enough people here to do a Tour de Colon on the East Coast or a day tour though Pennsylvania, since we have a high rate of colon cancer.??

Hi Holly,

I hope Dan is doing well with his treatment. I am in a similar situation as my sister was just diagnosed with stage IV appendix cancer which spread to her interpertineal cavity. I would love to get your email address just to correspond. I am hoping and praying for you and your family.

Sincerely,
Katherine French
