It was not till the next day on the plane (late at night) on the way home that it hit me, It has been 12 yrs since my diagnoses. My signature line tells the story. I was told on my last Onc visit (Aug 2015), that I was cured. I should be more concerned about a new cancer than this one popping up again.
For those just starting this journey, NEVER give up the hope. When I started, FOLFOX was still experimental. I was my Onc 1st patient to get it. There have been many advancement since my diagnoses. More people are beating this cancer today, than when I was diagnosed. I carry many people in my heart that did not make up.
