I'm 31 years old and I have a lump on my right side about 2 1/2 inches below rib cage. I've had this lump for 6 years. It has fluctuated in size. No pain. Just mild discomfort when pressed on with some pressure. The lump itself doesn't hurt. Whatever it is attached to hurt a little. 2 docs told me it is a fatty cyst. Others said they can't detect it. Now I'm finally seeing a GI specialist. He seemed a little concerned about the lump so he ordered a endo and colonoscopy for Nov 21. He already ordered a HIDA scan and I had it done 2 days ago. No word on the results. Stool and blood work was done. Negative for celiac disease and H. Plyori (sp?). I'm very nervous and scared about this upcoming procedure in Nov. I'm hoping it is not cancer. Stools are always yellow and runny. Sometimes the bowel movements burn my rectum. Sorry if TMI. I also feel little "hard spots" throughout my abdomen. They feel much different than the lump on my side. They are small, flat, not bulgey, and definately do hurt when pressed on. They seem to have appeared overnight. Sometimes I'll have bad pains after eating and before a bowel movement. Almost like extreme constipation (if you've ever experienced that you'd know its very painful). This effects 2 areas like that in I guess it would be my colon. Feels better when gas and stools been passed. But sometimes the pain will linger. When my test results from colonoscopy and endo come in I'll let everyone know what's up.

April,

I had the HIDA scan, blood test, and the HP test along with a long list of other test that all came back normal.... I didn't notice any lumps, but I felt more and more tired as the months pasted and I always felt full and bloated with pains on my right side. The didn't figure it out for month and it took a CT scan to find out that I have colon cancer. I sure hope this is not your case, PLEASE get it checked out find if your doctor won't listen find one that will. The sooner you find out the better.

BOl

Please fel free to ask anything, everyone here is very compassionate ang knowledgeable.

I have a rope like lump on my left side near my overies. i have had it checked she said it was an immflammed lymph node or a piece of bowel. 2 months later and it still appears to be there no smaller or anything. it comes and disappears when BM. its not sore unless i feel and prod it for a while. I think it could be to do with my implant ive had for 1 and a half years. bleeding non stop because of it. Having it taken out tomorrow and will ask about lump once again (this is another different doctor.) So scared about it im sure its nothing but you always think the worst!

I hope you are recovering well and it turns out to be no big deal.

You might want to start a new post instead of tagging on to this one. You get more feed back.

I realize this is an old thread but if anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

I have had a vertical lump on my lower right abdomen since October. Sometimes it is sticking out more, like when I cough or am standing, and other times is impossible to find, like every time I see a doctor :|. I have gotten a rectal exam, ct scan, x-ray, colonoscopy, and I have been seen by a surgeon that specializes in hernias. Not one doctor has noticed the lump. It is only mild discomfort, and hurts more at some points than others. When the lump is sticking out more, it is a hard mass that can be pushed left to right, and it gurgles when doing so. Any advice would be helpful, the surgeon wants to cut me open and take a look, but didn't feel a hernia, so I am a little skeptical. I am very annoyed because I always feel the lump and have had my girlfriend feel it to ensure I am not insane, but yet the doctors don't. I would greatly appreciate any comments, and will provide additional information if neccessary.
