I am a new member to this site, and I am amazed to see that there are actually others in my situation! This website is great.

To introduce myself, I was dx with a 6cm rectal adenocarcinoma early this year at age 25. As the tumour was so low, they had to do an ultra low anterior resection, total mesorectal excision, formation of a j-pouch and a temporary loop ileostomy. I had the stoma for 7 months, and I had takedown surgery 3 weeks ago.

The good news is that they found it at stage 1, the only reason it was found so early is that the tumour ulcerated causing severe bleeding. However, I did have to go to 3 different specialists before someone would take me seriously... I knew that something was not right but I certainly did not expect cancer

Anyway, will stop rambling now! Hope everyone is doing well.
