Pain has changed to tailbone.

Postby Need2talk » Thu Mar 30, 2017 6:48 pm

So I already posted before and sorry to bother you. Had colon resection on nov 2. Sigmoid colon. This was 4 months ago. Started having rectal pain a few weeks ago and went to local gastro. He thought it was constipation. Put me in colace and Metamucil. My rectal pain is better by now I realize it is somehow connected to my tailbone. My tail bone is in a lot of pain at night. Days are ok. Scared it could be in tailbone or could this be a complication four months later or just a common thing from surgery. Please offer suggestions. Anxiety is back

Number one thing.... no one on here is a bother. That is why this forum exists, we are all in this together.
Have you contacted your surgeon about this? Did you receive any chemo? If so talk to your oncologist too. I had a colon resection too but never experienced any tailbone pain but everyones cancer journey is different. I have no answers or ideas other than contact your Drs. and TRY not to worry.
