Ditto what Sara said, especially interested in the dosages of CBD and THC oil.

Re: Any surgeons doing Laser surgery?

Zephyr - I found it best to phone instead of email, the number is +44 20 3553 2620, his secretary Justine is very helpful. I was very impressed by Ladas, I think he did a great job and is kindly as well. I would also recommend phoning Coswig instead of emailing, if you or a friend speak German that...

Re: Any surgeons doing Laser surgery?

Has anyone had any luck contacting the U.K. hospital and finding out who has taken over for Dr. Ladas? They haven't responded to my email and my Google searches are turning up nothing. I have written to Dr. Drewes in Germany but I would like also to get information from the U.K. Thanks in advance fo...

Re: Are followup colonoscopies counted as preventative?

My experience was that it was not considered preventative. The explanation I was given was that if you have no reason to believe anything is wrong, it's considered preventative -- but otherwise no. Again, this was just my experience -- your insurance company may treat it differently. Edited to add: ...

Re: Possible for long term remission with only chemo?

All this gets me to saying I'm an optimistic realist hoping long term chemo will work, but knowing what the outcome can be. Someone has to be in the good response group so why not you or me! And with a good response, who knows what opportunities lie ahead with treatments and trials. Keep the Faith!...

Re: Possible for long term remission with only chemo?

Thanks for asking this question. I have the same concerns about my inoperable lung mets. I started on Folfox, then 5fu/Avastin, then just 5fu and everything was running smoothly until it all stopped working. Then I was switched to Folfiri. I added Vitamin C IVs and quercetin to the mix but whether o...

Re: Black

I know exactly how you feel. I was spiraling downward. With the help of my nurse navigator, I was put in contact with the oncology counselor at my cancer center. She has been helping me. She also set me up with a psychiatric nurse practitioner for medication. You may need to have a dose change on y...

Like others, I don't know the dosages I received but mine was dropped at least once -- maybe twice-- because of peripheral neuropathy.

Re: Oxaliplatin and Combatting Neuropothy

My oncologist kept offering gabapentin and I kept refusing. I just didn't want another drug in my system; I can't completely explain why. But then my sister was at a party and starting talking with a friend-of-a-friend who was a Stage IV colon cancer survivor and an M.D. She mentioned the neuropathy...

Re: Single and dealing

A while back a dear friend of mine told me something I didn't realize: people are standing on the sidelines wanting to make your life easier, wanting to brighten your day, wanting to help ... let them help. As others here have said, it's as much a gift to them as it is to you. My daughter-in-law tol...

Re: Fatique etc

For nausea, a Sea Band helped me. You can buy them at the drugstore but here's an Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001F731N0/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?th=1 I got by with wearing one on my right wrist (3 finger lengths below the wrist) but if your nausea is severe, you may need to wear one on each ...

Re: The Burzynski Clinic

I don't know anything about the clinic but I found this Newsweek article that might be worth reading: http://www.newsweek.com/2016/03/04/stanislaw-burzynski-cancer-medical-malfeasance-429057.html As far as immune boosting natural remedies, Vitamin C via IV has been very helpful for me but I'm receiv...
