Just a note to say I went for follow up colonoscopy yesterday and the surgeon confirmed what you said MissMolly

it's diversion colitis and not unusual

Thank you for your reply MissMolly. I have been having signs of dehydration this week I have been slipping greatly on my water intake and I believe you hit it right on the head.

LAR June 20 2017 passing blood now!!

I had LAR surgery June 20th 2017 with temp Ileostomy and since I have been passing a little
mucus every day. today for the first time there is blood in the mucus. If things go well I should have Ileostomy reversal sometime
in march. has this happened to anyone else?

I am in complete panic right now!!

When was your surgery? I had some white spots on my stoma not long after surgery that turned out to be dead skin cells that eventually sloughed off. There is also always the chance that it is some sort of infection, you might want to check it out with your surgeon. Surgery was June 20th. Reversal p...

I had LAR and temp ileostomy

As soon as they could confirm with stethoscope that my stomach was moving again (12 hours)
I was placed on a low fiber diet. Stayed on low fiber diet for 4 weeks for healing. Then slowly onto normal
food

Hey thanks for the replies. I guess I was just not thinking the other day. So after shaking my head and rattling
the beads loose.

It seems better to take chemo and not need it than not take it and wish I did...

so 6 months of xeloda it is. I had zero side effects while using it during radiation.

My colonoscopy and scans (MRI and CT) proclaimed I had a 5-6 CM growth 10-11 cm from anal verge T2 early T3 3 enlarged lymph nodes noted over all given Ct2 early t3 Nx.
