Re: Folfiri after Folfox fails

Thank you! That is so helpful. My onc at MSK tried to be hopeful today, but she is also realistic. We still don't have the genetics -- though we know I'm negative for Lynch. That there are suspicious lesions in the peritoneal cavity was what most concerning to her. How quickly did you start to see ...

Re: Stage 4 to NED- Please tell us

Last Sept 2018 I had a lapro live resection and have been NED since. Next scan in June. Praying too. But I...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Stu, you're about the nicest person I've run in to online. :D I've made an executive decision that after all of this is over (chemo, resection, mop up) and I'm declared cancer free... we're going to Florida to visit my father in law and his wife in their new home. We're going to make it an epic roa...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

So on Saturday it will be a year since I did my last chemo. I feel like I should do something like scream off a mountain or mourn my former self. I have not come to terms with death- I don’t care what the disgusting stats are (14% survival rate for 5 yrs). I refuse to think this is my end. I’m six m...

Omg! When is that???? I want it out! Oh to feel completely normal-it May never happen....but to have the port out for a long time would be great! Stage 4 makes it very iffy.

Yes, I hate scan time. We are all in this together. You are in my prayers. Sending you best luck. By the way, our kids are about the same age. My two boys are 10 and 14.

Hi Milk Tea-
Just saw your signature. Curious- why are you on maintenance if you had all tumors out???

Re: Another NED question: PUMP v. NO PUMP?

I have been visiting this forum for about two years now. From what I have noticed, without paying all that much attention because we did not expect to be at this place in time with a recurrence and considering a pump, the majority of people here with Stage IV who have been NED for over five years h...

Re: New Here

My dad had successful surgery today to remove the tumor they said it was isolated to one area in the colon. He may need some mop up chemo to remove anything left behind but Drs said it couldn’t of went any better. Thanks everyone. Great news. But be leery. Pathology may be a surprise. CT scans are ...
