Re: Having a really hard time with ileostomy

HappyNao, Sorry to hear about your troubles. If you don't get the info you need here at Colon Talk, you could try the United Ostomy Association at http://uoaa.com Karen/Miss Molly has always recommended them and they seem very knowledgable about issues concerning ostomys and ileostomys. Best Wishes,...

Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

Always enjoy seeing the beautiful Ms. Chloe, and lots of cherries. Yum! My friend used to have a big ole cherry tree in Greely, CO. Every spring my other friend and I would make the trip over there to pick some. Brings back happy memories (and messy ones). Here is a shot of DH at the inaugural Sonom...

Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

It's possible that Karen is checking up on this thread. I know she is a big lover of dogs. Bluebonnet season is a big deal here in Central TX. It lasts a good 6 weeks, and we get pics of all sorts of things in the bluebonnet fields, longhorns, goats, chickens, babies, police officers, cats, the list...

Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

I've seen seals before, there are quite a few around Monterey, butt they pale in comparison to that guy.   Kind of makes me want to give him a tummy rub (pink belly as we say around here, usually used in regards to an ornery Frenchie) Had to do a bit of research on Giant Sea Sp...

Re: Picture Posting Topic

Claudine, I download my pics from my phone to Imgur, or a photo hosting site. I kind of remember stu saying that she uses Tinypic.

Once the pic is on Imgur, I copy the BBCode and paste directly into the CC reply box.

Fonzie is a civilized Texan Maggie. He uses slippers for chewing, although he prefers Uggs for that purpose.

We had a lot of rain this spring, so the wildflowers were lovely.
Here we have the obligatory dog in the bluebonnet pic. 8)

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Don't want to put words into Radnyc's mouth, butt maybe he meant that sometimes caretakers need additional encouragement and it may be found from folks in a similar situation, I would bee very surprised if he wanted to discourage caretakers from the forum as a whole. It's a pretty small group here a...

Think I gained some weight on xeloda also. I attribute that to all the macaroni and cheese that I ate. Sometimes you just need some good old comfort food. I could keep up with normal day to day activities until the last couple of weeks, when I was very tired. I did have my dosage lowered once.

Re: Stage II but puzzle with the chemo.. : (

That's a good point about friction on the foot. If that happened, you'd probably need to cut down on walking, or possibly get really cushy socks and comfy. shoes. I must admit that the last 1/3 of my treatment I had to cut back on the walking and finally eliminate it, but that was mostly due to fati...
