Were you officially told that it was Stage 1?
Are you sure that this is not Stage 0?
2 cm of clear margin with pedunculated polyp seems like Stage 0 for me.

Re: Melanoma and Colon Cancer

During 1st visit the breast cancer surgeon noticed a mole on my breast. Asked me about it and I replayed that I have been going for regular check ups to a local dermatologist. Well, the surgeon set me up with the Cancer center dermatologist. And my mole ended up being stage 0 melanoma. ... I am sho...

Re: Results of first post-Tx CT scan

My onc kept telling me that everything is fine They always deliver more positive message unless they are almost sure about a worst outcome. That's the way they work and we just need yo accept it. :( there were two tiny spots that showed up on my left lower lung. They may have been missed by a previ...

Re: Eating Healthy on a Low Residue Diet?

Almost everything that is healthy you can't eat. I went EXTREME healthy once I was diagnosed for the little over a month it was between finding out and having the surgery but haven't been eating great (white pasta, white bread, chicken noodle soup etc) and now that I am starting to feel good enough...

Lydia666,
Have you already found a therapist?
It looks like in addition to this forum hugs you need a more substantial help.

Re: How to cope with an "affair" when terminally ill (sorry, it's long)

I hate my dad so much now. Sara, how old are you? I have not told anyone about this and I don't know what to do. Children very often have rather limited knowledge about the relationship between their parents, because parents try to hide most issues from their children. You may have an idealised pic...

Re: Alcohol and Capecitabine

Today I heard over the radio that sugar is more harmful than alcohol.
Tell your hubby to switch to dry wine. :)
One of my friends also likes sweet wines. So he buys dry wine and adds natural sweetener (I forgot its name).
Cheers!

Since you asked, I am posting here a document that is 24 pages long.

I did not ask for a copy of this paper.
I asked for a publication in peer reviewed mainstream US or international magazine.
As I predicted, you failed to provide such reference.

mostlysunny77, I am not sure whether you understand that your family situation is not an isue. How you cope with this situation is real issue. I recommend getting a therapist for yourself. I would like to apply principles of modern health care ethics to answer your question. They are: 1. Autonomy 2....

Re: Been sent for urgent referral

The most relevant reading in this case is Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome.
I strongly recommend it for everybody.

Otherwise Google and Medline can also be entertaining and educational (depending on your attitude).
There is no need to start worrying too soon.
