I was dx in june with rectal and lung mets there was a 1 cm nodule in the left lung that was removed via vats procedure and confirmed. the rt. lung has two smaller spots that they are working under the assumption they are mets 4mm and 7mm. the Stanford docs started me on zelox for three months to se...

I was wondering what was the difference between a pet scan and a ct. when I was being diagnosed at Stanford they did a ct and mri why not a pet ? any thoughts?

kims, that was the only one in that lung there are two small nods in the other I'm starting chemo thurs. and they'll see what they do.

I had a 1 cm met removed july 5th and was really sore for about a week then was o.k. rode my bike 11 miles today, good luck with your procedure.

A surgeon told me the other day about my st.4 dx were hoping you can live another 5 years with this. shit if were hopin let's go for 20 or 30 years.

thanks, that helps out the not knowing is hardest part I'm already only about 150lbs and afraid of losing too much weight.

I was recently diagnosed with rectal cancer with mets to lungs largest was 1cm removed in a vats procedure for biopsie. it sounds like I will do an infusion of avistan and oxy once a month with xeloda pills two times a day for three weeks with a one week break then start over for a total of 4 weeks ...
