Re: CEA freak out

Lara, I am not a drug user, rx or otherwise, but when I was going nuts waiting in inconclusive-land, I used Xanax occasionally to stop the monkey mind. Think about getting some help, counseling and maybe meds; this is a hard, long road. You deserve help and you will need to learn to keep your balanc...

Re: onc appt totally, totally sucked

Yea, I understand your feelings about assisted suicide. There are some good books out there to tell you how to choose your time, quickly and painlessly. Sucks we have to work it out ourselves. There was a thread not long ago about this.

Re: Hair thinning

I discovered Living Proof products during my journey. I think they have one called Thick. Everything I've tried from them really works, and I've got naturally thin hair that can't take those heavy products. During chemo, I invested in a couple of good wigs that made life really easy. About $100 gets...

Re: Stage 4 spread all over-now 7 years survivor

Thanks for your story -- it's awesome! And thank you from the heart for the fundraiser. I think, given the hard road you've traveled, it would be easy to just walk on down the road. But no, you stay here to help. That's beyond cool. Thank you! And happy 50th!

Re: OT/Percy, Catta, and Merry Christmas

Cancer has taught me not to sweat the small stuff and enjoy all the wonderful things right in front of me. I embrace those who love me and help me get through this cancer crap - friends, family, co-workers, doctors, nurses, and complete strangers. People who brought me down are out of my life. I ha...

Re: Any medicare advice on part c?

Okay, we have it tough. That's what I've found, anyway. I want a medigap policy, but it seems the insurance companies can charge literally anything they want. Some states require companies that offer medigap policies to over-65ers in their state to offer at least one plan to under-65ers, but they ge...

Re: Any medicare advice on part c?

Hi Pastor,

I am about to have to go through the same search process. Question: are you under 65 on disability or over 65?

Re: Should I block mom?

As everyone has said, waiting for scans is really hard -- scanxiety! But your prognosis is good, and pain in that tummy of yours is not unusual just because of surgery and treatments. Now, perhaps the question of taking your mom or giving her the slip comes down to: how do you think she will feel wh...

Change of username

Hi all. I decided I better be more anonymous if I am to share details of the trial I am just starting. So this is my new username. You regulars will remember my old avatar of me with my beloved cattle dog.
