Re: Stage IV (with liver cyst) - 6 yrs NED

I am so happy that you are NED. I hope the cyst will stop growing. Liver cysts are quite common and look different than tumors on scans. MRI may show more details in case of doubt. Good luck!

Good luck! I signed palliative care papers 4 years ago. My twins were 6 and I was 40. I am still here, doing good. I wish you best of luck!

Re: Staging and treatment options.

I would look at the pathology and genetics of the tumor. Type of cells? Mutations? They can help to predict how aggressive the tumor was. I had stage 4 cancer and agressive chemo saved my life.
Good luck!

Re: HAI pump criteria

My husband tried to make an appointment for me with Dr. Kemeny back in 2015. The first nurse refused him because I didn't have all the necessary scans. I had only abdominal and pelvis scans and resonance, no chest. I was recovering from the colon surgery in the hospital in Europe at that time. My hu...

Re: Folfirinox - Bad tolerance

Thank you, Paola! Hugs!
One more thing, hopefully useful. I received Atropin with Irinotecan and it really helped with diarrhea. Honestly with Atropin I had more like constipation. I am in general very sensitive to meds.

Re: Ladies what did you do with your hair during chemo?

I cut my hair short but longer than pixie cut to cover the bald patches. I started to color my hair with herbal cassia. IT is a natural conditioner. My hair became a little thicker and I survived the year of chemo. After I stopped FOLFIRINOXthe hair improved a little. It is long and decent now. I am...

Re: Recovery time for HAI pump placement and/or liver resection?

I have been in the hospital for 6 days because of the weekend and wait to check whether the pump is properly working. I had to stand up on the next day and walk a few laps on the corridor. The forum friends recommended me the laps. Walking kept me strong and active. I had 4 surgeries in less than a ...
