Re: When is your cancer free birthday?

Nice Lance, but I celebrate every day I can find an excuse. The day I was born, the day I was diagnosed, the day I had "all known cancer resected", the day I finished Folfox, the day I finished Avastin, every day the mail comes, every day I have a normal BM, every day we have weather. I ke...

Re: Update on Jeremiah Moore

I really wish there was more I could say or do. You and your family are much in my thoughts. Let me know if I can be of any help at all. I'm praying.

Re: The Dumb Way to a Diagnosis (I hope not)

So diamonds really ARE a girls best friend! Just be careful not to lose it down the pot when you do the prep! The earring may well be what's causing the bleeding, but if it is an early cancer, and that's less likely, but possible, the diamond found it for you. What a story! If you never put that dia...

Re: Losin' Hair and Gainin' Weight

Any more info? What kind of cancer? Any tests pending? What is the doc waiting for? Sometimes you don't want to jump the gun if you think cancer is unlikely and you think a problem will resolve on its own. Tests can be expensive and sometimes carry their own risks. Is that the case? Or have some tes...

Swelling and a shiner can be dealt with. Just get that tumor out and keep that guy with us a good long while!

Re: Bradyr update

Sounds like he came through the surgery well. I don't think the surgeon's decision to be a bit cautious was a bad one. Better safe than sorry. Tomorrow is another day. Better to try again when he's a bit stronger than take a risk of doing real damage. Thanks for the update. He's on all of our minds ...

Valentines!

I had an idea I wanted to float. How about posting links to romantic videos, songs, lyrics, poetry or anyting we want, and dedicating them to our sweeties for Valentine's Day? They all deserve a little appreciation, don't they?

Here's mine. For Matt.

Re: When is your cancer free birthday?

Here's my take on it. I was cancer free after my surgery. All known cancer was resected. I got chemo after that to clean up any possible remaining stray cells, but there was no known cancer in my body at that time. I consider the date of surgery my NED date. I had clear scans post-op. Both PET and C...
