Re: CT Scan with Rectal Contrast Fears

Hi Kitty, Sorry no one has responded to your question yet. I will try my best. When I do a scan with a contrast, I have to drink 2 bottles of that chalk type drink, about 45 prior to my scan. About 1/2 way thru the scans, I am then injected with the contrast (via a needle), so I'm not totally sure i...

Sharon,

Give Brady my best, I will be thinking of him on Monday, and hoping the cyber knife is a success.

I got the flu shot on Thrusday and kind of FEEL like I'm fight off a cold, but it's just the shot.

Re: Prayers tomorrow.....

Glad to hear you made it thru surgery. As one person who has a bag, (it was my decision), I felt I got my life back, and don't regret the decision. I hope in time it will be the same for you.

Re: CEA Drop Slows to a crawl

Hi Arabella, That is great news about Johanna's CEA dropping from 481 to 122, and I agree with your Dr, as long as it drops, that is the important part. I will tell you, sometime CEA will rise while on Oxyplatin, mine did, but then dropped once I finished. My point to this, you may see more decline ...

Eve, One day at a time. What you're feeling is normal and something we all experience. Guess it's part of being a cancer victim (don't you just feel so special, I hate it). You will be in my thoughts and prayers for successful results. Try not to stress to much between now and Wednesday, nobody at t...

Re: Looking for someone with the simlar issues :)

So this is all really freaking me out. I am through 14 treatments so far. Is there anyone who has made it through radiation without having all of these issues? I cannot imagine living my life like this. I am already barely unable to cope. Polarprincess, I know all of this must be overwhelming, and ...

Kevin,

Prayers and lots of luck heading your way. Hope this surgery is successful in ridding your body of scar tissue, blockages can be quite painful.

Re: Radiation Hell

I just finished my radiation treatments 2 weeks ago. I didn't have any problems with my skin, so I can't help you with that. I have had problems with cramping, a painful bottom (my polite way of posting it)complicated with hemmoroids, and irritated vaginal wall. It has been two weeks since I finish...

Re: Chemo room etiquete question

I'm not being treated for cancer, but I take my Dad for his treatments, so I hope it's ok for me to share my perspective. nd I think it's nice to share with other patients (at least those who want to share) because any and every joy is a good one. Hanna, You are a caregiver to your Dad, know that y...
