COLON TALK is part of my journal. Thanx to everybody here

Chapter 32 Over the course of writing this journal I have mentioned a few times regarding how valuable the Colon Talk forum has been to me personally during my journey. I stumbled across the forum by accident a couple months after I was diagnosed. I read every day, literally dozens of posts as my im...

Re: 13 years ago today!

Congrats on 13 years Jaynee,
When I joined this forum GreenMonkey was my first reply to my first post. You were second. I have always found you to be one of the most informative, knowledgeable members here and read most of your post.
Thank you

Re: Laid off before Dx

As a Canadian I can’t complain about the level of care I’ve had here. Serious illnesses are prioritized. I’ve waited 11 months for a CT scan for something not urgent, I’ve also been squeezed in immediately numerous times over the past 6 months for many procedures. All without giant bills or premium...

Re: Marking time from first diagnosed or??

I just had my 5th cancerversary. I go by surgery date February 26 2014. Surgery is when the cancer is removed. Many still go by dx.

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

Yes, it is 18 months since he passed, but I'll never forget him Ride In Peace Brownbagger, ride with those hawks and know the world was a better place for you having been here. We all have regrets in our journey. I remember Eric was debating getting his teeth fixed but it came at a hefty cost. He h...

Re: Adjuvant Chemo

You are new. If you were here for a few years like myself and read the stories of those who skipped the chemo and now wished they didn't, you would do the chemo. This is a no brainer Stage III's do the adj chemo.

You need to put every nail in the cancer coffin.

Re: Newly diagnosed 7 years ago !

Congrats Michael

At first when I came here you were a regular poster with a quirky wit.

I also thought you had the coolest name on here just in case you cared.

Re: Almost 6 years

Hey Kiwi

Back in March 2014 I made my first post and you were the third reply with encouraging words. Congrats on your house and your 6 years NED. I am positive that many will gravitate to your post for encouragement and hope like we both did in the early days.

5 years from dx today

It was five years ago today when today seemed a lifetime away. For those new to the journey, take a deep breath, listen to your doctors, ask questions and never hesitate to get a second opinion. Butt!! Most importantly stay away from Dr. Google, I had myself dead and buried at least five times. Stil...

So many names who were regular posters when I got dx are now gone. Bev was a insightful person who imparted her knowledge in regular post that would always give me hope when I needed it most.

Thank you

Re: Nik Colon - ritz75

Nik seemed to be a very pleasant person, she was always wanting to help others get through their journey. I remember reading threads that had multiple pages and most of the posts were Nik's. She was just thanking everyone who would reply to her post with a simple Thank You. What was very clever was ...

Re: Port removed

Hey Snoop 5 years this Halloween since dx and not a week goes by without thinking about recurrence. The slightest tweak or ache always triggers the thought. The slight raises in my CEA triggers the thoughts. I will say that I am way better than I was in the early stages of my journey when recurrence...
