Re: I HATE journalists

I'm sorry if I offended anyone. Please understand, I had a relative make the front page of a newspaper (death), and we the family had no input. The writer did a lousy job and did not verify his information. The obituary that followed a few days later was based on the front page article, not on what ...

Re: I HATE journalists

First I want to say I am so very sorry this happened to you. I can see where it would be VERY distrubing to read this, please do not take it personal or believe it. Second, anybody who has dealt with articles written about them will tell you the writers can't get it right. If you ever dealt with an ...

Re: Some people like to wait

Same day appt are not an option for me either. My Onc will schedule scans about one week prior to seeing her. Once my chemo treatment was held up a day, because I had blood work done on a Friday and the results were not ready until the following Tuesday. After that I made sure to have blood work don...

Hi surfegirl, You're at the right place, I'm just sorry that your uncle has cancer. You mention desert, are you by any chance in Phoenix? Re: Surgeon Difficulties

Eve, So sorry this happened to you. While I believe this Dr was wrong, I'm also aware Dr.s have private life and have problems just like the rest of us. We all are only human. Many yrs ago, my brain tumor was found and I need surgery ASAP. They had a neurosurgeon lined up for me. I was warned about ...

Re: preparing for rectal cancer surgery and ileostomy

My best advice, walk, walk, walk, as soon as you can following your surgery. It really does speed up the healing process. I was releases from the hospital 4 1/2 days following my surgery, simply because I was walking around the hospital parking lot by Thrus (surgery was Mon. morning). I wanted to go...

Re: What did you think the moment you knew...

It wasn't when I learned I had cancer that I lost it, it was when I learned I was advanced stage III. After my husband picked me off the floor, he told me I would be dancing at our kids weddings. Kids were 9 & 12 at time of diagnoses.

Re: What did you think the moment you knew...

I was SHOCKED, I was SUPPOSE to be told I had divertricilious (???), and nothing else. MY bleeding was SUPPOSE to be due to my hemmorrid that my primary Dr. already confirmed. I'm sure if he suspected cancer I would have been rushed into a colonoscopy a lot faster than the 3 mths I had to wait to ge...
