Re: Would you get chemo for stage IIA?

Because I am a type 2 diabetic, I already have some neuropathy in fingers and toes.

I think IIA is the best I can hope for... What is the neuropathy like after chemo? Just some numbness?

Re: Update...

Thanks for the support and advice. I printed out the article I found on cimetidine for the surgeon (he had not heard of it). British Journal of Cancer 2002 is what I found. I don't have a date yet, hoping it is before the end of the week. I saw that Eric Berry, ex-Tennessee football player has been ...

Update...

Colonoscopy tissue from the mass is cancer. Appears this is where the cancer developed. Gall bladder and Liver were cleared by the guy that read the MRI (also used the CT scan). Oncologist said this is more straight forward now. They will remove the mass, it appears to be in a reasonable location. A...

Re: Crazy Week

Do you see the surgeon often or just when the oncologist finds something needs to be done? The surgeon all the nurses recommended was the same one the GI doctor's nurse recommended, but he's not board certified in colon/rectal... thoughts? MRI in an hour - oncologist at 1pm. I'm hoping I'll know mor...

Great post. I'm a IT guy by trade, but went to school for nuclear engineering. Love Science!!! Any thoughts on the value of Stanford's Folding@home project?

Re: How do you tell a 5 year old daddy's girl that her daddy is dieing?

Pukalania - I'm deeply sorry for where you are. I'm a complete noob here, so I hope this is ok. You've gotten a lot of good advice about doing videos, recording stories, writing letters - take it. With my daughters, two are through college with good jobs and happy, that last one would be in college ...

Re: Crazy Week

First, thank you so much for your replies. It means a lot to me. I'm grateful. My youngest daughter had femur problems and is recovering from 4 concurrent osteotomies, in a wheel chair, with PT 4 times a week. ...needs frequent attention. My wife is exhausted and I 'm trying hard not to add to her l...

Crazy Week

On Monday, I thought I had a bowel blockage. After CTs and Colonoscopy, I have a 3-4cm mass in my colon near the exit that is likely cancerous, waiting on the report. They found lesions on gall bladder and liver. Scope showed gall bladder fine, but Gastro Doc said "he couldn't see anything"...
