Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

Just driving in and out for the appointment without staying overnight. We will probably stop in Leominster-Fitchburg for dinner on the way home.

Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

Husband and I canceled the MRI and oncologist appointments we had scheduled for today due to a snowstorm where we live. We did not want to risk the treacherous driving conditions over the mountain so we rescheduled the MRI to Monday, Dec 3rd. The time and day of the week work much better for us, plu...

Re: Stage 3 to 4

On other threads I have noted the wide span of differing opinions among oncologists when it comes to chemo, particularly whether to do "mop up" chemo or not. My husband had only 4 rounds of Xelox/Capeox before his back to back colectomy and liver surgery and no chemo afterwards. This less ...

Re: Wedge resection vs. full lobe removal?

My husband had one tumor in a tricky spot quite close to a hepatic blood vessel in the left lobe. I can't recall whether it was a vein or artery. Anyway, his liver surgeon at Mass General originally presented three choices: lobectomy, "wedge" resection, or RFA. As we got closer to decision...

Re: Rectal cancer stage IV

I am so sorry to hear about your doggie, atoq. I don't have children but I have a 7 year old dog who is the world to me. To me, he is not only family, but my baby. I send prayers his (your dog's) way.

Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

Just popping in to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. My brother's killer(s) entered their pleas this week and it was the first time I ever saw them in person. On top of that, work has been crazy as I have been slammed with motions I need to oppose by tomorrow. It's been an extremely stressful week...

Free lodging in Boston

I just now discovered a place in Boston that provides lodging to people receiving cancer treatment who live greater than 40 miles away. I wish I had found this place sooner! It's near Dana Farber. https://www.cancer.org/treatment/support-programs-and-services/patient-lodging/hope-lodge/boston/stayin...

Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

I was actually so anxious that I worked really hard on a court filing last week in order to have it ready early (done before the scan results) before the filing deadline Monday the 12th. That way, if we got bad news, I wouldn't have distractions from my work. Now I have a few days off from work as a...

Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

Yay! The Chest CT results say that the nodules are nothing more than scars as they have not changed at all from the May Chest CT (baseline). The radiologist also noted that nothing new can be seen in the liver, but of course we will know for sure when he has the MRI at the end of November. Still NED!

Re: Finally....some really great news!!!

Just popping in... My husband's chest CT is Monday and I'm getting scan-anxiety. I filed a really important brief a few days ago and I have a reply brief due November 12th. I don't need bad news right in the middle of this extremely important drafting. I'm wondering if he will get a call a few days ...
