Re: Liver lesions

Hi Karen. I’m not an expert but I don’t think they would do a biopsy in this case. A PET scan or PET-CT might be the next step.

Re: Switching back to Pembro

Finally after almost 3 years of immunotherapy and 2 years of clear CT and blood work , the onco team has decided to stop further infusions. It is still largely an uncharted territory but some data has emerged to suggest that it is time to remove the immunotherapy life jacket . Tighter monitoring re...

COVID19 and Immunotherapy

Hi again. Have not checked in for a while. Happy to report that I am ok. Just some scans coming up. Little over 5 years from my Stage IV diagnosis and coming up on 3 years NED. Not sure if this has been discussed. But do you think being on or having been on any form of immunotherapy (i.e. checkpoint...

Re: Adventures in Immunotherapy - Hopeful beginnings

Hello from Maine! Just wanted to let you all know that I started Yervoy and Opdivo (Ipi – Nivo) combo immunotherapy for another recurrence in my liver. To recap, I’ve had a colon resection and two liver resections in the past 18 months, with the hopes of getting to NED. However, the cancer keeps po...

Re: Nine Year Anniversary

Hello friends, I just saw my oncologist for the now annual exam and I’ve cleared the nine year mark since my Stage 4 dx. I wanted to send an optimistic message to all who are doubting the possibility for themselves. Exactly how or why I’m doing so well, I don’t know. I remain cautiously optimistic ...

Probiotics while on Immunotherapy. Good or bad?

Hi all. Title explains it all. I have been seeing conflicting data (well not super hard evidence since they aren’t from trials). Any opinions on this? I used to take probiotic pills while on Keytruda but stopped them now. My response on Keytruda has been splendid. Now just loading up on “natural” pr...

Re: Adjuvant immunotherapy

I am MSI-H as well. Did FOLFOX + Erbitux as well as FOLFIRI as adjuvant chemo after surgeries. Had recurrences after both. After that I was put on Keytruda and I am about to hit my 2 year mark on the drug. I have been NED for almost the whole time on immunotherapy. I know it’s useless to think abou...

Re: Switching back to Pembro

Hi all. Been gone for a while. Chemo took it's toll. As an update I have finished 4 rounds of chemo after a single dose of Keytruda in early December. Latest PET-CT showed almost all tumors (liver, nodes) have shrunk and are metabolically inactive save for one node (peripancreatic) which still has ...

Re: Starting immunotherapy next week

Hello, could those who have been on keytruda or mono immunotherapies of the like please chime in with your experiences based on the following?: colon cancer was diagnosed about 4 years ago, surgery to remove the mass and total colectomy was performed followed by 6 months of folfox and was NED for l...

Re: Switching back to Pembro

Updating my own thread: On my 2nd to the last dose of Keytruda as standard dosing (200mg every 3-4 weeks). I saw my oncologist in Singapore (I have 2 for multiple opinions) and he suggested that I stop treatment completely at the 2 year mark since that’s what he does with his other patients in compl...

I’ve had 2 since my initial diagnosis and surgery in 2014. I am NED now. Don’t lose hope.
