Re: My husband walked out

Anne, The problem with most us men is we don't like to admit we have failed, or we don't like to acknowledge there is an issue. We hate to fail, we will put it all on the back shelf hoping that we will not be able to see it or it will go away. Women are very different to men. Hehe. Some of us we sho...

Re: My husband walked out

I know that previously when i had a drink id struggle to stop. I also used it as a stress reliever. I use to drink almost two bottles of whiskey in a single sitting. Perhaps this is why I have my current diagnosis who knows. I know it took me a few years to overcome this without help and the wife ca...

Be careful of the oxy. Panadene forte will do just as well and way less addictive.

Re: My husband walked out

Sounds very much like me at the moment. The cancer part and marriage. I had a little giggle at your last line. My wife was similar she did not come to my radiations, or chemo appointments. But is convinced that she dealt with it in a total different way. Do spouse's deal with a cancer diagnosis diff...

Re: My husband walked out

I guess ultimately you have to ask yourself the question " Do you still love him, and vice versa " Would couples therapy help. I never thought id go to this kind of therapy, but me and my partner now do, as it hasn't been easy either, and it has gotten better. Focus on your cancer its more...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

I agree with Lee. The first couple of days are hell. Take immodium codiene and Metamucil for bulk is what i do. Just not too much. I usually take one of each in the morning and that's it. Now i usually take nothing. I'm pretty normal now but I'm about 3 months out. U should start to get better afte...

Re: Lung Cancer. Your thoughts please.

I'm afraid I'm not very well informed at the moment. I'm still in "trust the oncologist " mode. I had the impression that Keytruda was a Stage 4 treatment. The GemCarb chemo is a deceptive critter. Folfox is in your face from Day 1.Gemcarb lulls you into a false sense of security, up to t...

Re: Things people say or don't say but it's okay

Personally I think this thread should be locked by admin and we all move on before we go around in circles again quite shortly. Our energy is required in other posts for people that need our help.

It will not add any further value to this forum.

Re: Lung Cancer. Your thoughts please.

Thankyou everyone. I seen her discharge paperwork today from hospital and she is stage 1B NSCLC squamous cell carcinoma. I understand the radiation and the wait thereafter. Staging is different between lung and bowel. No lymph or spread at this stage. She finished radiation 4 weeks ago next scan wil...
