Currently in Houston at MD Anderson. They are starting me on Folfox on Wednesday. Just took new scans yesterday and waiting to head back about the results. Anyone with a 5-FU pump know if you are able to detach yourself or do you have to go back to the hospital after the 46 hours? My wife goes back...

Welcome to the forum. I have only been signed up for a couple of weeks but have learned a lot in that short amount of time. I am a caregiver to my wife who is going through this battle. Keep up the fight.

My wife gets really bad pain in her leg bones. One night I rubbed her legs almost all night so she could sleep. After that she took the Claritin and it help a lot. Good luck.

thank you for this post it gives a guy like me hope for my young wife who just received the news that it was in her liver this week right before our surgery date. I can now go to bed tonight thinking that it can be us in 13 years. I will enjoy tomorrow and will be on the phone monday getting an app...

So if I understand you you are thinking that the four months between scans is too short of a time for 6 mm to present them selves. . . . I have no medical training, butt I would recommend a 2nd opinion on that. Huntsman might be a good choice Have they done a CEA test on her? Has there been an incr...

[ . . . I will most likely try the local cancer institute first as I don't know how feasible it will be to get to Houston from Utah and do treatments especially with a young family. I've been told this is a slow growing cancer but those spots showed up in four months has me concerned. Could they be...

She has had a Pet scan back in april I believe. It did not show any activity in her liver, only the primary tumor and a lymph node in her pelvis. Since radiation the primary tumor and the node have shrunk just over 50% and we were preparing for surgery. We had a follow up CT scan that just picked u...

. . . I see so many going to MD Anderson how does a middle income out of state guy get there? thanks Check to see if they accept your insurance plan. Butt yes please get a 2nd and a 3rd opinion at a major cancer treatment center. I'm not up on Huntsmans Cancer Center, butt that might be a good idea...
