Re: Colonoscopy prep question

I realize this is too late for the OP, but here's my situation. My colonoscopy is scheduled for the first week of December. I've been starting to feel a little antsy about it and I needed to know what day(s) to book off work so I just pulled out the prep sheet to see what the procedure and timing is...

Re: Rectal cancer (Stage 3A) diagnosed late June 2017

My cancer centre has much the same process for blood work, although I suspect the volume of patients in a day is much smaller than at DF. There are two technicians (I'm not sure of their actual title) who draw blood and it is always the same two no matter what day it is. Anyway they both are so good...

As a kid I remember watching the TV show with David Carradine, I think it was called Kung Fu, then a few years later watching The Karate Kid. It is so encouraging to see the teachings of mental strength, determination, and resolve play out in real life in this thread. Thanks CRguy for the gentle les...

Re: A touch of neuropathy

I shaved my legs today. The last time I did it was likely just before my surgery because of course I wanted to look well groomed while having 18" of my guts cut out of me. As soon as I started chemo my platelets tanked, I had regular nosebleeds, and I was on daily blood thinner shots so a nick ...

I may have mentioned it before, but I am not really a dog person. I do like that rug, though. Lots of reds in it.

The guys missed having Thanksgiving leftovers so I am cooking a turkey today. In the oven so there will be stuffing and gravy. I'll probably have a tomato sandwich.

Re: Additional safety precautions for breastfeeding mothers and children?

Punky, Can you direct us to the research material and articles you read that have led you to essentially equate chemo recipients with Ebola victims? I'd love to see the one that tells us that it is unsafe to breathe the same air as a chemo recipient. Have you discussed with your mom what your plans ...

Re: Good news

Congratulations on your second year of NED!!! I finished chemo and had CT scan in August and had PET scan in September. I was then given my 5 year plan based on a new protocol that was just being implemented. Blood tests with CEA, plus ultrasound and x-ray at 6 months, 18 months, and so on. Blood te...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

I bought this prior to Thanksgiving in the hopes that I could make broth from the turkey bones. $170. on sale for $45. My old stock pot was just thin metal and had had a few mishaps so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to replace it. (The wine glass is just there as a contrast for size perspective....
