After the last surgery the pain took about three weeks to subside and I needed the top shelf, to control the pain. Remember there is a slue of reasons why you could have pain. I also deve...

Re: Leaky bunghole!

Hey Kenny,

I'm at least eight weeks out and i'm still leaking. In fact it seems to be getting worse. I wear pads ALL THE TIME. I'm off to see my surgeon about this next week.

Relationships and cancer

Hey everyone, I’d love to get some advice on what happens to relationships post treatment. My marriage could not get any rocker and I just want out. DON’T JUDGE! This is just how I feel and these are not my actions. I am seeing a counsellor and she said after cancer patients finish treatment their p...

Re: Feeling I have to poop out my butt!!!

Belle do you still have your rectum? When I just had my rectum that happened every now and again. The big issues was all the pushing caused an anal fissure. If this is a one off time I would not worry but if it becomes regular thing and you end up pushing when nothing is there I would speak to a sur...

Re: Need Help

Many of these symptoms sound familiar please don't stop pushing your doctors until you know what's going on. For four years I had similar problems and my doctors never listened I eventually paid for a private doctor and by then it was too late my cancer had spread.

Good luck.

Re: cleaning services

I am very lucky to have a cleaner paid by the NZ government through ACC. I recommend if you can afford it to get some help and conserve your energy for the things you love to do!

Re: ADAPT - Dr. Lin ONGOING Thread

Hey Kenny
I wish I'd had a more encouraging visit with dr Lin. It wasn't really discouraging he had my genetic testing results and just said a couple of the mutations worked with adapt.

Did he say what mutations did work with Adapt?

Re: Where has my libido gone?

It is clear that there is a divide between possibly newish and more seasoned relationships. I can completely understand how seasoned relationships can withstand little or no sex in a relationship. But I stand by my sweeping statement "how can a relationship survive" I didn't think people w...

Re: Just looking for trouble?

Well it had not been reported 6 months ago nor noted but this new radiologist went back and checked. 'He's not concerned. I'm not concerned' Why are you second guessing the experts? I imagine they tend to over report than under report. I had spots in my liver that were reported as cancer and then d...

Re: Where has my libido gone?

I think this is an important thread because there are so many things that happen with cancer that are never discussed.... like loosing your libido. There are so many ramifications to this, yet I wasn't even aware this would be a problem. Cherie wrote: NEVER EVER! How can a relationship survive? I th...
