Re: Newly diagnosed aged 28

Wishing - are they doing any genetic testing? Since you are so young it would be good to know if there is a possibility of lynch. I agree 100% that the mental part of this fight is the toughest. You are on you're way thru now - hang in there'. I hope you have many happy years ahead with your babies.

Re: Reversal Log: Experience,Problems, Q & A's

My daily bms range from 15to 40 and control is not great. I was taking citrucel but decided to stop for ...

I think it is still very likely just hemmerhoids. You are doing the right thing getting a colonoscopy. I hope you will find a benign reason for the blood. Try your best not to worry til then.

Re: Blindsided- new here stage 4

So sorry that the news wasn't better. I hope the second opinion provides more options. Also - the oncologist may not know all the surgical options available so I would want to talk to a colorectal surgeon to see if resection is really off the table.

Re: I Don't Want Cancer to Define Me!

It really is a long process. Just try to concentrate on the next step and get through that. I do think it is easier mentally once you get started and can focus on that instead of just worrying about everything. I ended up telling a lot of people just because I was a complete mess at diagnosis and co...

Re: Newly diagnosed Please help

I am sure it is really tough to keep getting different information. I don't know for sure, but am going to guess that the fact that the cancer was only in part of the tumor is a good thing - it is maybe not that advanced? Make sure you have a good colorectal surgeon. The ostomy bag is an adjustment,...

Re: PET Scan

I was told the ct scan is done first and the pet is only done afterwards if the ct scan shows something that needs to be investigated. So insurance may not pay if there is not a documented reason for it.
